Our Board members have extensive knowledge of the renewable natural gas sector and experience in the areas of strategic planning, management, accounting and finance, risk management, and public company leadership and oversight.

William White

William White, Chairman and Director

William joined Woodland Biofuels as COO in 2012.  He retired as the President of DuPont Canada in 2008 after 34 years with the E.I. du Pont de Nemours and Company and was on the Board of Directors of Afexa Life Sciences from 2009-2011 (he served as Chairman).    He is also a past director of Afexa Life Sciences, Helix BioPharma Corp. and Progressive Waste Management Solutions and a former Director of MaRS Discovery District.

William chairs the advisory board for the Schulich Center of Excellence for Responsible Business, and received his Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD.D) certification in 2012.

Ian Anderson

Ian Anderson, Director

Ian has been the President of CKF Inc. since June 2009, a foam packaging and molded pulp product company with three manufacturing locations across Canada. Before accepting this role, he was the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of CFK Inc.

Prior to joining CFK Inc. Ian spent 30 years in the can-making industry, managing plants and business across the Americas and the U.K.  Most recently, he was Vice President of Operations for Crown Metal Packaging Canada Inc.

Ian served on the board of Stewardship Ontario, and currently serves on the board of the International Molded Fiber Association. He is an active member of Foodservice Packaging Institute and Canadian Plastics Industry Association.

Eric Beutel, Director

Eric is a director of CHAR Technologies and Vice president of Oakwest Corporation Limited, a Toronto based Investment holding company.  Eric is also a director and Chairman of the Investment Committee of The Equitable Group (EQB-T), the parent company of The Equitable Bank and a Board member of In-Touch Survey Systems (INX-V).

Eric has been in the investment industry for over twenty years.  He holds an MBA degree from the University of Ottawa.

Lyle Clarke

Lyle Clarke, Director

Lyle is President of Lyle Clarke & Associates, a consultancy providing strategic advice and leadership to start-ups, SMEs and Accelerators in the Clean Tech sector.  Lyle has broad experience providing executive leadership, organizational innovation and strategic change management for his clients.

Lyle is also the Executive Vice President of Stewardship Ontario, on the Board of Waste Diversion Ontario and Stewardship Ontario, a Director of Switchable Solutions Inc., serves on the Advisory Committee of Blue Zone Technologies, sits on the Review Committee of GreenCentre Canada, is a member of the College of Reviewers for the Ontario Centres of Excellence and is a Volunteer Advisor at the Research Innovation and Commercialization (RIC) Centre in Mississauga.

Enzo Macri, Director

Enzo is the principal owner and co-founder of Gracious Living Corporation. He has over 20 years of hands on involvement and experience in all aspects of the company’s business including product conceptualization, development, manufacturing, sales, shipping, and distribution.


James Sbrolla, Director

James is a veteran of the financial and environmental industries. His career has been focused primarily on public and private companies in the Clean Tech sector.

James is Chairman of Environmental Business Consultants and serves on other Boards of Directors and Advisory Boards including Actual Media, WE Communications, and BlueZone Technologies. James is also an Entrepreneur in Residence in the Business Accelerator Program funded by Ontario’s Ministry of Research and Innovation. In this mentorship role, he coaches entrepreneurs and technology developers through the process of commercialization.
